When we first started working with Skin HQ, we set out to discover the standard of aesthetic clinic websites currently out there. We were astounded at the number of poor quality websites so we set ourselves the goal to create a new standard for the industry.
95% of the users visiting Skin HQ prior to the new website were mobile users driven from the clients Instagram-focused marketing efforts. This led us to prioritise the mobile design of the website over that of the desktop version.
The website includes a lot of information, which needed to be implemented into the website using various design elements that made it easy for mobile users to navigate. Most challenging were the various call to actions the website required which ended up simple buttons, to intuitive pricing tables with hidden dropdown options, and membership comparisons. All of these designed meticulously for mobile users.
The previous process of buying courses of treatments on Skin HQ and scheduling an appointment online was fraught with problematic processes. We quickly highlighted the problems and consulted the client on various ways they could take advantage of new technology to re-invent the way they, and their customers, handle anything to do with buying and scheduling appointments.
Whether its online, in a clinic, a customer, a therapist, a package of courses, or a recurring memebership, the activation of this new platform has made a huge impact on all aspects of the business.
Results-driven Content Strategy
One of the main problems we found when browsing clinical websites was the poorly implemented content strategy that made it difficult to learn about multiple treatments, find a treatment that was best suited to you, and then proceed to the purchasing options.
We were determined to create and implement a content strategy that would set a new standard in the industry. We did this by starting with the delivery of vital information on treatments in a method that becomes reptitive across all treatments as to make it easy to learn about them, and then guide visitors to the various buying options.
Along the way visitors will find additional prompts designed to avoid future customer complaints, and better inform customers before committing to any purchases. One of the areas of our strategy was the creation of the “Search by skin concern” enabling visitors to quickly find a treatment that best suited them.
We did this by adding schema markups to critical information that search engines need to return more informative results to users.
